Catchings scores 22 to lead Fever over Shock and move within a win of Finals

The Indiana Fever are one win away from their first trip to the WNBA Finals. Tamika Catchings had 22 points and 11 rebounds to help the Fever beat the Detroit Shock 75-65 on Friday night in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Shock beat the Fever 2-0 in the first round of last year’s playoffs on the way to their second championship in four years.


Manning, Palmer watch Bengals top Colts

Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer were spectators for a preseason game that was tough to watch from the sideline — or anywhere else. Texas suspends WR Pittman 3 games

Texas suspended wide receiver Billy Pittman for three games Friday after learning he broke school amateurism rules by borrowing a friend’s car this summer. Henman Grand Slam career over with loss
